Maula/Smithfield Holding Settlement |
9.13.2009. LITIGATION AVERTED!!! At the September 8, 2009 BOS meeting, the Board entered into an agreement with Anthony Maula, Marlene Maula and Smithfield Holding, L.P. to settle the Declaratory Judgment action commenced by Anthony Maula and Marlene Maula against Smithfield Township, No. 10519 Civil 2008. The settlement includes a payment to the township in the amount of $35,000 to defray legal expenses. To link to the proposed settlement agreement, click here. since July 8, 2009, to assure that concerned Smithfield residents would have adequate time to review
the agreement. The Smithfield Holding/Maula Professional Office Land Development project is proposed for route 447/Independence Road near ESU CFRED project.
