12. 7. 2009 Official Map: The first public meeting for review and discussion of the Draft Official Map was held at the Smithfield Elementary School on Monday, November 23, 2009. . Link to Official Map.

The Official Work Group was created by the Smithfield Board of Supervisors on October 26, 2008, identifying residents from relevant councils and committees who expressed a willingness to serve on the committee. Link to minutes Christine Meinhart and Eric Koopman of the Monroe County Planning Commission provided advisory and adminstrative assistance. The Board hired Planner Carson Helfrich to provide professional support and guidance. The Township appreciates the effort and participation of hours of volunteer time contributed by the following citizens in this process:
